The history of CR7 underwear
Christiano Ronaldo, born in 1985, is a Portuguese football player and (in case you’ve been living under a rock since 1985) has become renowned as one of the greatest players of all time. Currently playing for Premier League club Manchester United and the captain of the Portuguese national team, Ronaldo has become one of the biggest names in the game thanks to his dedication to the sport, raw talent and a commitment to high-calibre play.
CR7 started in 2006 in a small store on the Portuguese island of Madeira. The vision was to create a collection that Ronaldo would wear himself and which fitted with his lifestyle. Over time, CR7 has grown to become a global powerhouse, crafting garments for men as well as, subsequently, women and children. The aim always is to create clothing that is stylish and comfortable and, importantly, affordable.
And that, naturally, extends to the underwear.

CR7 underwear review

Trunks
First up, we have CR7’s everyday trunk for men, its Men’s Cotton trunk, a quality pair of trunks that are perfect for everyday wear be that lounging at home, working in the office or out and about.
Trunks are designed as a midpoint between a brief and a boxer brief, providing the support and comfort of both types, but with less material on the leg than a boxer brief. The cut should extend about ⅓ of the way down your thigh, with the soft elastic waistband placed at your natural waist. Trunks are designed to hold everything in place to prevent uncomfortable chafing and provide the support you need to stay comfortable all day.
All of the underwear in our CR7 range is constructed from a pima cotton stretch, which blends soft cotton with a pinch of elastane to create a material that’s soft, breathable, comfortable and durable - perfect for everyday wear.
CR7’s cotton trunks are also perfect if you like to inject a bit of colour into your underwear drawer. Coming in a wide range of colours, including black, white, grey, orange, navy, blue, purple, plum and more, you’re spoiled for choice.
Moreover, there are a variety of waistband styles to choose from - ranging from more subtle CR7 logos across the centre of the band and front-centred logos accompanied by stripes across the band to full-blown CHRISTIANO RONALDO lettering in bold, stretching the full height and width of the band - whatever your preference, CR7 has a band for you. Many of the waistbands also take advantage of the vast array of colours available and go for a high contrast look - the navy trunks with a bright orange band are particularly eye-catching.
We also have the subtly different CR7 Cotton Fashion trunk. Constructed from the same quality pima cotton stretch material and, naturally, in a similarly supportive trunk fit, they are available as a three-pack. Also coming in a range of colours, these are perhaps slightly less vibrant (going for mixed tones of greys, blacks and blues for the most part), but with some more vibrant and abstract printed designs available on select pairs. From more geometric shapes to a chaotic splash of colour, these prints certainly stand out.
Once again, the soft elastic waistbands present you with a fine choice of styles - from more subtle CR7 logos to the bold CHRISTIANO RONALDO once again. Overall, this range is slightly more sleek looking than the regular CR7 cotton trunks, so if you prefer darker or more understated pants, these are a great choice.
Briefs
CR7’s Cotton Men’s briefs are the perfect choice if you like a little more freedom of movement and less material on your leg. Just as supportive as the trunks, keeping everything tucked away and secure, briefs are designed to leave your legs material free - perfect for men with larger thighs who feel restricted by trunks and boxer briefs, or those who find they overheat if too covered up on the legs.
Much more classic in their styling and colour choices than the men’s trunks, the CR7 Cotton briefs are available in a much smaller range of classic underwear colours: black, white, grey and navy.
The soft elastic waistbands also have fewer design options to choose from, opting for a blended colour match and subtle CR7 logos at the centre line of the band, extending around the circumference.
These briefs, once again, are perfect for everyday wear, with the soft pima cotton providing the perfect amount of stretch, durability, breathability and soft comfort to keep you looking and feeling great in all but the most strenuous of activities.
Socks
We only carry one variety of CR7’s men’s socks at the moment: the 3 pack. Cut in a crew style (also known as trouser socks - or standard length socks) these come in at just £13 for a pack of 3 quality, stylish socks.
In a range of black, grey, blue and navy colours, and featuring a selection of single colour and striped designs, these socks are simple, yet stylish - and once again perfect for your everyday outings.
